In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment; You do we worship, and Your aid do we seek; Show us the straight way; The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who do not go astray. (Quran, Chapter 1)

Recent Activities

Recently I have submitted a proposal to National ICT R&D Fund titled "Development of a Tele-surgical Training Robot and Simulator". The project focusses on developing a complete training system for training surgeons for Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS) and robotic surgery. The project is currently under National ICT R&D Fund review and expected to be funded soon.

I have recently been selected as Vice-President Events, Association of Information Systems Pakistan Chapter (AISPak). Here we organize workshops, lectures and seminars related to the field of Information Systems.

I am also the faculty advisor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Society at SEECS, NUST. Apart from this I'm also a co-organizer of a research seminar series held twice a month at SEECS.

Recently I was also respnosible for organizing 1st International E-Health Conference at SEECS, NUST, Islamabad. The conference was held at Agha Khan University, Karachi and simultaneoulsy broadcasted interactively at SEECS, NUST, Islamabad. It gave a chance to presenters to present from Islamabad instead of travelling to Karachi. The event was a success with about 10 presenters presenting from NUST, Islamabad.
